Profile

Laura’s work spans arbitration, mediation and related dispute processes across commercial and investment-linked matters.

She has acted in arbitrations and mediations under institutional and ad hoc rules, including ICC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, ICSID Additional Facility, LCA and other regional frameworks. Her experience includes disputes arising from hospitality, energy and natural resources, project finance, transport and infrastructure, and ICT, often involving complex contractual structures and multiple stakeholders.

Laura is often involved at earlier stages of disputes. She focuses on how cases are framed, how procedure is deployed, and how process choices affect leverage, timing and cost. Where settlement is appropriate, she supports it with care. Where it is not, she ensures the process remains disciplined and focused on what will decide the outcome.

Alongside her work as counsel, Laura sits as arbitrator in domestic and international matters. She has been appointed as sole arbitrator and party-appointed arbitrator in disputes involving construction and infrastructure projects, energy supply arrangements, financial transactions and concession-type agreements.

Laura is an active contributor to the arbitration community. She is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and a member of the CIArb Global Approved Faculty. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the Lagos Court of Arbitration Young Arbitrators Forum.

She is recognised by Lexology Index as a Recommended Arbitration Lawyer and Arbitration Future Leader (Partners), reflecting peer and client feedback on her work in complex disputes.
